Making
a claim on your TravellersSOS policy
We
hope you'll never need this section of the website, but if you do
.we've
tried to make the process as easy as possible.
- First
we ask you to ensure that your claim is covered under the terms
and conditions of the policy. Click on the link to review the
full terms, particularly the cover section.
- A
couple of specifics from the terms and conditions are:
-
that you were abroad (this usually means outside the UK) when
the loss occurred; and
-
that you report the loss to us within 24 hours (to allow us
to help you minimise your loss, and therefore our costs).
- Then
you need to download a claim form (in 'Adobe Acrobat Reader' pdf
format). To download it quickly right click on this Claim
form link and pick 'save as'. Then save it to your hard drive
to open and print later.
- Once
you've completed and returned the form to us, together with any
receipts or other documents requested, we'll review your claim
and pay what's due within 14 days.
- Unfortunately,
because you will need to forward other documents with your claim
form, it's not possible for you to submit the form electronically.
You will need to post it to the address stated on the form.
Questions
- How
do you authorise my claim?
Firstly
we check that the things you have claimed for are covered by
TravellersSOS (you'd be surprised at the things we receive
claims for
..!) and that you complied with the policy terms
and conditions. Then we check the documentary proof you have
provided to support your claim and make any other enquiries
that we feel are necessary (which you authorise us to do on
the claim form). For example, this can include talking to your
card issuers or your travel insurance company. Once this is
completed we send you a cheque for what's due. This normally
takes about 14 days from receipt of your completed claim form.
-
How
long does it take to authorise my claim?
Once
you have completed and returned your claim form to us, together
with any receipts or other documents requested, we will review
your claim and pay what's due within 14 days.
- Are
there circumstances when you will not pay any of my claim?
As long as you comply with the terms and conditions of this
policy, including providing the documentary evidence we request,
the items you are claiming for are covered by the policy, and
you are not making a fraudulent claim, we will pay your claim.

question?
