PAYING
FOR YOUR POLICY
1.
You've asked me to supply my credit card details over the
internet. Is this safe?
We
collect your first premium during the application process.
We do this in order to ensure that the card details you provide
are correct - we know how easy it is to miss or transpose
a number.
How
safe is shopping on the internet? The reality is that it's
actually much safer to enter your credit card number on a
secure online order form than it is to give your credit card
to a waiter in a restaurant. After all, in addition to 'skimming'
(copying your card details with a small electronic gadget
in order to copy them onto another card later), what's to
stop that waiter writing down the number and placing orders
on the phone (or the net) later on?
Your
TravellersSOS premium is collected via Worldpay, a world leading
online payment processor (part owned by NatWest Bank). Your
details are collected in an online banking environment using
secure sockets layer (SSL), encrypted to the highest level
of protection available (128 bit).
We
are confident that this is a safe way to collect your card
details, but if you would prefer, you can apply for a policy
by telephoning 0870 780 1480.

2.
Why have you asked me to sign a FuturePay agreement (continuous
authority)?
We
hope that you will be so impressed with TravellersSOS that
you will want to keep it for many years. We ask you to sign
up to a continuous authority (FuturePay) in order to save
both of us time, by allowing us to collect future premiums
against your card if you chose to renew your policy.
BUT,
we will ALWAYS ask you if you want to renew your policy before
charging anything to your card. The decision is ALWAYS yours.

3.
Can I pay by Switch / Visa / Visa Delta / MasterCard?
Yes,
you can pay by any of these cards.

4.
Can I pay by American Express / Diners Card?
Sorry,
no. We can only accept payment on a Switch, Visa, Visa Delta
or MasterCard.

5.
Can I pay for the policy by Direct Debit?
Sorry,
no. We have found that almost all of our policyholders chose
to pay via their credit card. And the higher administration
costs of direct debits outweigh the benefit of offering it
as a payment method.

6.
Do you collect / hold my card details?
For
your security we do not collect or hold your card details,
including your payment card details. Our payment card management
is carried out by Worldpay, a world leader in online payment
processing who are part owned by NatWest Bank.
Worldpay
collect you card information, process your payments to us,
and are able to update your payment card records, all in a
secure online banking environment.
